Move Forward in Unity
We are in a dangerous place as a county right now. I am not sure I have ever seen such passion and destruction between differing views. I refuse to take sides in an issue that is so motivated by hate, selfish, and sinful desires. “On every side”. I am sick to my stomach that someone can be in police custody and have to beg for another breath. I have yet to hear from anyone who thought that was right. It also deeply troubles me that anyone can use this for an excuse to murder, vandalize or loot innocent citizens and business owners.
It doesn’t surprise me that the nation is so divided on these issues, what surprises me is that “The Body of Christ” is so divided on these issues.
Have we not yet identified the real problem. Jesus said: the enemy comes not but for to steal, kill and destroy. And, it has never been easier for him to accomplish that, than it is right now.
The only hope for a better and brighter future is that the Church would unite in obedience and love, to share the truth of God’s Word. To take a stand on what is right in God’s eyes, to be the One Body that Christ has called us to be.
If God’s people cant move forward in unity, how can we expect the nation to find a place of peace?
For generations we have heard “the only way to stop the USA is from within.” Wars and enemies, natural disasters and terrorism have not been successful - but the discontent and division from within has already done significant damage and will only continue if we as the Church do not create an example of Unity and Love among the church family.
I want to encourage you as you encourage others, that we position ourselves on the Solid Ground of God's Word and the Cornerstone of Christ Himself, that we share our faith, love and hope with a confused culture for the good of God.
God Bless you,
